Rebecca Holt

I am a teacher, wife, and a bereaved mother of 4. My writing journey began when our son Charlie died, shortly after his 5th birthday. It has been my outlet to process grief and continue to share Charlie’s life, beyond his death.

But along the way, it has become so much more… a space to share stories of my heroes- families, communities, and people who’s struggles far exceed my own.

While I will grieve for a lifetime, I will also live… with laughter, hope and a whole lot of love. Thank you for letting me share my story, Charlie’s story and Our stories.

We are one world, one people, one heart.

Last year wasn’t all bad, despite a global pandemic and major political unrest around the world. It’s important to focus on the good, and one really great thing that happened at Charlie’s Heart Foundation was the launch of our Charlie’s Heart Foundation Grant Program.  Since the beginning, it’s been a goal to create a grant […]

  • Meet Our 2020 Grant Winners: Community Culinary School of Charlotte | April 2021

Last year, one of our greatest and most fulfilling achievements was launching the Charlie’s Heart Foundation Grant Program. Through this program, we connected with inspiring organizations and provided them assistance to help them with their missions. Some of these organizations were local, like the Community Culinary School of Charlotte, a nonprofit that’s right in our […]
